Alessandra Ambrosio went surfing on a Victoria’s Secret surfboard for a shoot or something recently… I’m trying to add as much relevant information here as I can to justify a gallery of shots of Ambrosio in a bikini but I’m struggling. I can either make something up or, you know, just let you enjoy the shots.

Seventeen-year-old Brazilian super-rookie Gabriel Medina beats Australian super-rookie Julian Wilson in the final of the Quik Pro in France, every surfer over 26 on the World Tour says “shit, I need to learn how to shuv-it.”

Rip Curl held their Surf And Music Festival in Bali over the weekend. There was live music, a surf comp, a skate comp and one hell of a party. Lifewithoutandy were there to capture the night – and one of my favs from the night had to be the above shot. What a mo! Check more of the shots above and the comp results below.

Billabong Girls posted some photos on their facebook page from behind the scenes of their hi-summer swimwear shoot. The shoot featured pro-junior Ellie-Jean Coffey and Billabong Girls US Lifestyle Ambassador Catherine Clark and was shot in Noosa. Check out a few of the shots above!

Dragon held a bit of a launch party for their newest style, the Viceroy. The event was at La Di Da in Melbourne and the dress code was vintage L.A. Looks like it was a rad night – check some shots above!

Clare Plueckhahn and Fran Derham, the rad girls behind the First Love film, have released a short clip called Lunchbreak. It’s all about the girls taking back the beach and showing how it’s done. We love Fran and Clare’s work – check out the film below!

This hold no relevance to anything except that it looks like an incredible amount of fun… The guy that made this video has done other rad ones, particularly the huge bike jump one, but he basically seems to be paid to construct and film epic shit. It makes me excited for summer.

Rusty held a bit of a party for the launch of their Winter 2012 range. The launch kicked off with a Single Fin surf comp on Rusty’s Bali Single Model with teams made up of staff and retailers battling it out. Following this the guys hit the Ocean One bar… According to the release, “bar tabs were smashed, humans got weird and we all went home single, well some of us, yewwwwwww!” Sounds like the guys had fun – peep some photos from the night above.

It wasn’t just rumours. Until yesterday, the possibility of the Quiksilver Pro New York being cancelled was very much on the cards. How will Kelly go from huge Chopes to shifty city beachbreaks? If this clip is anything to go by, he’ll be fine.

It’s a big call, but many who’ve been around pro surfing for decades are claiming the Billabong Pro was – if not the best – then certainly the most memorable contest in a decade. Here’s the video highlights.

Dale Richards, the first indigenous surfer to ever compete in a World Tour event, is now an ambassador for Queensland’s Learn Earn Legend! program.

Huge waves. Huge, incredibly perfect, terrifying waves. Gibberish-inducing barrels.

Carissa Moore was crowned ASP Women’s World Champion over the weekend after coming in second against Steph Gilmore in the final at the Roxy Pro in France. Moore needed to make position one to three, and for Sally Fitzgibbons not to win to clinch the title at this event. Nike has put together a rad clip to celebrate the 18 year olds win – check it out below!

It’s a big week for Mitch Coleborn – we announced back here his signing as a founding member of the Frends surf team and yesterday, DC sent out the announcement that he has joined the like of Ry Craike and Clay Marzo on the surf team.
