We mentioned the rad new Gatorade commercial featuring Chaz Ortiz back here – a single shot with a few little hits in a school hallway through to a huge 15 stair rail. The commercial is awesome and the guys have released a clip going behind the scenes. They had some serious equipment and put a tonne of effort into making it, it’s a really interesting watch… Check it out over at The Berrics.
DC Opens Its Awesome Embassy Facility In Barcelona
DC have opened their epic new 12,000 square foot indoor skate park in Barcelona. Called the DC Embassy, the park has been three years in the making and it will feature weekly videos from both the DC team and others passing through Spain. You can head to the DC Embassy site to catch a video of the park on opening day and head to the facebook page to catch video updates and more from there. We’ve got a few photos from the opening above to check out too!

November 11th Release For Nyjah Huston Element Part
Nyjah Huston is releasing a part on November 11th for Element. The first of seven teaser clips has dropped this morning and it’s a banger – check it out at the Element mini-site here. I’ll post more as they come out. It’ll be awesome to see Nyjah back up his amazing winning streak at Street League with an awesome video part!
Chaz Ortiz in Chicago for Zoo York
Chaz Ortiz has shot this rad clip in Chicago for Zoo York. He is obviously no longer riding for DC and has been spotted several times sporting Nike SB’s (but also Adidas and a few others) – be interesting to see where he lands. The clip is really well shot and edited, check it out!
‘Four Sure’ In Singapore
The guys at Runamuk Visuals have released this 20 minute skate clip from their trip to Singapore recently. It features Tommy Fynn, Jesse Noonan, Firdaus Rahman, Geng Jakkarin and Cameron Sparkes who spent four days over there as part of Billabong’s City Squared event. Check it out below.

Chaz Ortiz And Gatorade – Epic Commercial
Chaz Ortiz has got a new commercial out with Gatorade. The Berrics posted a clip a few weeks ago hinting that they were working on something and this is it… There’s not a tonne of skating in it, three or four hits, but the overall production is awesome. Here’s hoping they do one with Sean Malto too. Enjoy!

3rd Chapter held a party in Melbourne for the launch of their winter 2011 range earlier in the year. It looks like it was an absolute banger party – the write up from the guys said, “All in all it was a night to remember or maybe just bits of it.. hahah. Billabong’s City Squared Hits Asia
Billabong held their first City Squared event in Asia the other day and gave away the largest prize purse the contintent has seen for a skate comp. The day was won by Singapore local Firdaus Rahman who said after the win, “I was so happy the weather turned out awesome today, as yesterday was really hard for everyone … But today it was great vibes, great people, good music and amazing skateboarding!”. Maloof Money Cup D.C. Won By Reynolds
Andrew Reynolds came out on top at the Maloof Money Cup in Washington D.C. over the weekend. He battled Ronnie Creager at the end and took home US$160,000 for the win. The comp now moves to South Africa at the end of September… The bigger story here though seems to be just how much head space has been lost by the MMC to Street League. Gravis Summer 2011 Launch Party
Gravis held a launch party for their summer 2011 range last week… The guys from Lifewithoutandy went along and grabbed some photos from what looked like a super fun evening. If you haven’t checked them out, you can see the Slymz Leather in brown on the wall – they look so, so awesome. All we need now is for them to bring back the rad Mac accessories they used to do – some of the best laptop cases I have ever seen.

Street League Championship Broadcast Times
The Street League Championship is fast coming up and they put out their official release yesterday with the broadcast times on it. They are happening in Newark, NJ on August 28th – the finals start on Monday, 29 August at 7:00AM for us on the east coast of Australia. You can watch it on DC’s facebook page.
