Something’s missing from this photo?

Well it’s 4:21 am and I just got home from The Astor Theatre in Melbourne for the Zoo York ‘State Of Mind’ premiere. Well actually, I missed the last half of the film because I had to go play audio visual guy at my brothers bands first gig back from hiatus. Family! What ya’ gonna’ do? Anyway here’s 6 photos from the start of the film, hopefully someone that got to spend the entire evening in the more than accommodating hands of Zoo York has some reporting they can add to this. Who was there? What did you think? Thanks to Gwenn for looking after Pop and Shane for the Pop corn and conversation.

UPDATE: Added a buttload more photos thanks to Hayley Hart and Kickback.

Last night the highly anticipated Zoo York film ‘State of Mind’ film premiered in Australia at The Astor Theatre in Melbourne.

The film has been four years in the making and served up some impressive skating from the Zoo York skate team who have been travelling the globe to capture footage in some of the most coveted skating spots around. Zoo York have gone back to basics and delivered a good old fashioned skate movie with a solid soundtrack, heavy on tricks and light on the time lapse montages of sunsets and flocks of birds (as seems to be the recent trend in skate films). Every rider featured in the film skates solid, staying true to the classic Zoo York vibe with Brandon Westage, Matt Miller and Zered Bassett all impressing with their solid style and technique.

Thanks to everyone at The Astor for looking after an almost full capacity audience. Shouts to Accent Group, Chris of Street Machine for his piano set and Diafrix for their special set at the official VIP after party. Thanks to everyone for coming along, check out photos below.

Zoo York ‘State of Mind’ will shortly be hitting stores Australia wide, so make sure you go purchase yourself a copy!
