Hopefully this is nothing but rumors, but seeing as though I have heard the same story from numerous sources it’s cause for concern. Word around town is that upper level management at Mt Buller are somewhat opposed to the construction of jumps and are keen to turn the riders left side of the summit (traditional home of the jumps) into a full time race course. This means no jumps this year if true. With several hundred people in the ‘freestyle’ programs up there (at around $1000 a pop), this seems like a bad idea to me.
