**Update 5** Mikey Williams got the $500 for a 50-50 on the riders right (views left) kink rail… pretty awesome. Robbie Walker and Jye Kearney did synchronized backflips over the stairset. Darragh Walsh landed a switch back 270, 270 out… incredible! More updates coming with action photos and footage.
**Update 4** Spoiler Alert… WINNERS! Mikey Williams took $500 for best trick – I was getting photos and missed it but it was gnarly. Jye Kearney took out 2nd place and no surprises here… crowd favorite Robbie Walker took out $3,000 for the win. More photos coming below the cut in a minute.
**Update 3** Oh my god! We’re 30 mins in and it’s nuts. Despite the poor weather the crowd are enjoying some Class-A riding. Robbie Walker is killing it, Mikey Williams is putting on a good show, Alex Kutaysov is getting tech. I’ll have some crowd shots and a few of the riders below the cut any minute – unfortunately I wont have good action shots till 10pm but I’ll get them up ASAP.
**Update 2** Webcast wont happen for now unfortunately. Weather isn’t friendly enough – if it improves, I’ll get it happening. Contest photos coming soon.
**UPDATE** Due to extreme weather conditions at Mt. Buller we may be unable to webcast the event live. We’re currently assessing what’s possible. Update coming soon…
If you didn’t already know, this Saturday night (as in tomorrow) is the Burton Cattlemans Rail Jam at Mt Buller. If you can’t make it up their for the night, don’t worry, Pop’s got you covered. Because it was so successful the last time we did it, Pop’s going to be doing a live webcast of the entire event! That’s if Telstra’s 3G network can handle it. So barring any technical difficulties, check back here tomorrow night at 6pm (go here if you’re overseas and want to convert times), get some Pop corn and enjoy the show. You’re welcome.
