The Happening is Happening Friday Night

The Happening (an art/music/film show) is being put on this coming Friday (the 14th) at the Bondi Openair in Sydney. Proceeds will help raise money and awareness for a group of non-profit organizations, including Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. This is the first date of an international tour, which includes stops in Tokyo, Paris and New York. Now, is it just me or do you see a problem with that first one? In Japan, the Sea Shepards are also known as the “al Qaeda of the Sea”! So, if I lived in Sydney, I’d get your tickets before they call the whole world tour thing off! See below for more info and photos from last year’s event (I guess? There was no explantion with the email I got).

The music kicks off at 7 p.m. by Andrew Kidman, Will Conner and Matt Costa, who is celebrating his recent release “Unfamiliar Faces” on Jack Johnson’s Brushfire Records. The event will showcase four films including feature film, “Sliding Liberia” by Britton Caillouette and Nicholai Lidow. In addition, there will be short films by the Malloys, Thomas Campbell and The Gothic Dolphins.
