Celebrating its 5th year ZOO YORK’s Am Getting Paid moved to brand new Le Taz Skatepark just outside downtown Montreal. With the new location also came a change to incorporate a jam format, which the riders and crowd responded well to. The park included street elements like fire hydrants and street signs along with real landscaping.
The weekend really began on Wednesday night with the opening party featuring longtime Montreal photographer Felix Faucher’s photo exhibition at Salon Officiel, Thursday’s 10 Deep x Underworld party at Blue Dog, Fridays Vestal x Underworld show with Brutal Knights and Barn Burner playing and of course the nightlife highlight the official Am Getting Laid after party on Saturday night featuring Oakland, California’s Souls Of Mischief performing. With Souls of Mischief holding it down the venue was packed and the Coors light, Monster and Jagermeister flowing no one left unhappy. However the weekend wasn’t over yet as Sunday night hosted the Montreal premiere of Transworld Skateboarding’s Right Foot Forward video ending where it all started at Salon Officiel!
