Transworld Business alerted me to the fact that the X Games have canceled the vert section of the contest. The EXPN site says “ESPN announced the biggest event shakeup since the inception of the X Games. As of this summer, vert, the oldest discipline in the Games, is out, and a new “SuperPark”-type discipline is in for the 14th year of competition.” Although it will be interesting to see what exactly a super-park-type-discipline is… I don’t think they can cancel the vert section and keep their audience.
