Tracy Anderson blogged over at ESPN (here) about Burton helping out with Breast Cancer Awareness Month. They have released a tank-top through their L.A, Chicago, Burlington, and N.Y.C. stores as well as online at ccs.com. The tank top, called ‘Save the Melons’, is US$19.95 and is for a really good cause – my extensive Wikipedia research tells me that in the U.S. ladies have a “1 in 8 (12.5%) lifetime chance of developing invasive breast cancer“. That’s crazy… Statistically you have a greater chance of dealing with breast cancer than you do of being in a road incident in the U.S. (that might be totally wrong – I read 5.5 million incidents a year and a pop. figure of 305 million and went from there…) Anyway, for more info on happenings in Australia for Breast Cancer Awareness, check out the National Breast Cancer Foundation site here or you can hit up Boarding for Breast Cancer here.
