FUEL TV just announced they’re covering the Rip Curl Pro Search in Peniche, Portugal live. That’s big news because to my knowledge (which isn’t that great actually) this is the first time a surf event has been broadcast on Australian television live. Oh and it’s also big because Parko and Fanning are locked in an epic battle for the world title. Whoever wins Portugal is almost assured the crown. The best thing about all of this is the time zones. This is all going to happen on prime time television. Boo-yah, FUEL TV FTW. The coverage starts at round 4 (first 16 through to the finals), with the event waiting period open from Monday 19 October to Friday 30 October. Check back here for exact times when I have them.
