Tonight in Union Square, New York City, Boost Mobile and Jeep Presented the Union Square Street Sessions Action Sports Block Party NYC snowboard event. The Boost Mobile and Jeep Union Square Street Sessions Action Sports Block Party NYC brought together some of the worlds best snowboarders for an Action Sports Street Session Block Party in NYC. Despite the name, there really wasn’t much Action Sports, Block Parties or Street Sessions going on. There was one hell of a Rail Jam though. Lucky for you, POP’s New York correspondent was there to cover the whole thing. Set your face to stun and read on!

In a made for TV event (with a name like Boost Mobile and Jeep Present the Union Square Street Sessions Action Sports Block Party NYC it sure as hell wasn’t made for Radio or Print!) we witnessed some of the worlds best session a sick rail setup. Riders like Lucas Magoon, Eddie Wall, Pat Moore and Charles Reid put on an awesome performance. As the photos show, there was a Down Bar, Down Box, Up-Flat-Down and a Flat-Down over a Jeep!

After the qualifying rounds were over, we got to see some impressive riding in the finals. Charles Reid’s 540-to-50/50 was particularly amazing as was Lucas Magoons Back-Tail-450out. The only complaint I had was due to the cold!

The results..? Pat Moore 4th, Yale Cousino 3rd, Lucas Magoon 2nd and Eddie Wall 1st.

As they say, a photo is worth 8.5 words so look below!

The setup. Notice the flat-down over the Jeep on the left.

See the guy wearing the red jacket in the window? Believe it or not that is actually Australian snowboard photographer Jake McBride. I’m serious, it is!

Felt like I was on a spaceship…

Boring photo right? Wrong! Look at the brand new box of boots flying 30 feet in the air! Someone’s about to get pwned!

Risky headwear in NYC these days.

You know what I love about being outside? The fresh air.
