In The News

Aside from stories about S.A’s #1 stud and state premiere, Mike Rann getting his creep on, the news this week contains… travel tips, the rumor on Google’s new Android phone, top ten moments on the web in the 2000’s, Hannah Teter’s Ben & Jerry’s flavor, bad tatoo’s and one Kate Moss. Hope you have a great Monday!

Travelling Much? – Now is the time of year when everyone starts leaving for overseas destinations. If you’re skating or snowboarding, or hitting sales meetings and product launches, handling your travel well can make all the difference. Here’s five tips for frequent travelers to help prioritize and stay on top of your game.

Google Phone Happening – TechCruch is reporting that in addition to Google’s Android mobile software, they will be launching hardware as well. It is reported to be a ‘pure’ Android phone – exactly how the software designers envisioned the software and hardware to work together. Some analysts are saying that due to Apple’s small number of handset options (Android is available on multiple handsets from different manufacturers) that Google’s phone could dominate within three years… However, for all the iPhone’s faults, I have not found another handset or mobile software that I would rather use at the moment. What’d you think?

Top 10 Moments on the Web – As we near the end of the decade the internet is being flooded with “Top of the 2000’s” lists. One of the more interesting ones I’ve spotted was the top 10 moments of the web… The launch of Twitter and Facebook, Obama’s Presidential Campaign and Google’s float are all on the list.

Hannah Teter’s Ben & Jerry’s Flavor – Snowboarder Hannah Teter is the first athlete to grace the pint sized tubs with her “Maple Blondie” flavor. Part of all sales will go to help an African charity Teter is involved in. Ben & Jerry’s is launching in Australia at the moment – check the next issue for more details.

Loltatz For Life – One of our new friends at the office, Toby, has got an amazing website up… Loltatz is dedicated to exposing the worst ink imaginable. The kind of tat that seems hilarious on the drunken Saturday night, mildly amusing on the Sunday and is old by Monday – leaving you with a lifetime of regret to look forward to. Check it out.

And Finally – Although I’ve never been a huge fan (if I want to see heroin chic, I work in St. Kilda… I can look out the window) the London look is here by popular demand – Kate Moss.
