The latest installment of Grand Theft Auto just broke a bunch of earnings records according to the tech website Toms Hardware. GTA 4 is now the Highest Grossing Video Game in 24 Hours and the Highest Revenue Generated by an Entertainment Product in 24 Hours. The game beat out Halo 3 (that earned $170 million in its first 24 hours). The game also surpassed Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows ($220 million in 24 hours) and the first Spider-Man movie ($60 million in 24 hours). And the music industry is struggleling to make money? How is it that the computer game industry is killing it (more people listen to music than play games), but the music industry is sinking. Well, I have a few theories and most of them are expressed in one sentence right here.
