I got an email from Jamie at Cactus Black a little while back about the progress of the Baw Baw park after all the fires Victoria had. It seems that things are still very much full steam ahead. If you can stand the cheesy cliche lines (“Strap on your board and prepare to tear it up” or “Cruise our kickers and catch air off our rails.”) of the official press release you’ll notice that for just $39 you get a rail park ticket. That’s pretty sweet. Now the park is being designed by Falls Creeks Francis Jackson, which if you’ve been to Falls the last few seasons, you’ll know is a very good thing. If you’re still in doubt that this thing is actually happening then perhaps this line from Jamie’s email will convince you “Its not far away, I know they have started to clear the area and put in power and water for snowmaking…”. I’m guessing these are the rails Baw Baw currently has. So 07 is going to be better.
