Antti Autti Injured – Olympics in doubt

Antti-Autti

Antti Autti has suffered a pretty gnarly injury whilst riding the Copper Mountain Pipe on December 7th. In his words, “I hit a lump underneath the snow as I was heading towards the transition and setting up to my next trick. My plan was to do just haakonflip but since the lump put me off balanced I just flew in the air upside down trying not land on my head. Then I connected with the coping hard on my side and I bounced into the bottom on my back. Luckily didn’t hit my head but the result hasn’t been great with 3 cracked ribs, slightly collapsed lung and possible damage to my spleen …” This has thrown his Olympics campaign into doubt as the recovery time could be up to three months. At the moment Autti has a week in the Copper Mountain hospital while he is being assessed before flying back to see the doctors in his home country of Finland. Head over here for more details.

Thanks to Luke for the tip!
