Euro Update from Gus St. Leon

Gus St Leon hit me with an update on his travels in Europe the other week. He is currently in the Nitro house in Austria riding with a few of the guys and generally making himself at home. The Bear tells me he’s pretty much moved in and taken over the place. Ahaha. Read on for more from the man and click through the gallery for more photos…

Note from Gus:

Not too much to report as of yet… It’s my first week back on the snow and I’m still finding my snow legs. The Nitro team house is pretty sweet. It’s in a small village called Schruns in the Montafon area of Austria, which is the perfect spot for all the European riders to stop over on their way through. I have been lucky enough to have the place to myself all week. But that’s about to change as there are some Swiss team riders coming to stay next week. I have been riding with Austrian boys Thomas Feurstein and filmer/photog Pirmin Juffinger this last week. They both grew up in Schruns so they know the area really well. Thomas reminds me of a young Gigi, he’s is an amazing freerider who has grown up riding big mountains. He has a natural ability to absolutely tear apart whatever he rides. And only being 18, has a lot of good years ahead of him. We have been building kickers almost everyday this last week up at Silvretta Nova. We got a top up of fresh the day after I got here and has been sunny everyday since… Nice start to the season! The boys have been showing me a lot of their spots, which are sick! I can’t get over the terrain out here … Kicker spots and lines for days! Looking forward to the next couple of weeks out here!
