In The News feat. Brooklyn Decker

The Winter Olympics is kicking off this week! Snowboard Cross will be happening from tomorrow our time, Halfpipe from Thursday morning. I’ll try and get a schedule happening for free to air TV today. In the mean time, Conroy likes China’s version of free speech, Kevin Smith’s latest film, Google Maps with traffic tells you just how screwed you are and this years Sport Illustrated Swimsuit Edition cover girl, Brooklyn Decker.

Stephen Conroy & Labor Are Losing Me… Fast – In the latest move clearly aimed at reducing their electability, Labor communications minister, Stephen Conroy, has suggested that Google should filter YouTube in Australia –  the same way it does for China. He actually said that, I’m not making it up. Yup, our communications minister is actually suggesting that Australia should have comparable restrictions on free speech to that of China. Awesome!

Kevin Smith’s Latest Film – I’m a big fan of Kevin Smith, not just his films but the guys is actually hilarious himself. If you haven’t seen his talk about writing a superman script, hit YouTube right now! He has directed a new film that stars Tracy Morgan from 30 Rock and Bruce Willis called Cop Out. Hit the link for the redband trailer.

Google Maps With Traffic – This is potentially old news but as of last Thursday nights traffic disaster in Melbourne, it is new to me. Google Maps now has a traffic overlay in Australia (and it works on iPhone too!). So you can see just how screwed you are when you’re sat waiting on a street more closely resembling a car park.

And Finally – This years cover girl from Sports Illustrated’s ‘Swimsuit Edition’… Brooklyn Decker.
