In The News feat. Bar Rafali (again!)

If you’ve been watching any more of the Winter Olympics over the weekend, you have probably come to the same conclusion I have – it’s like the regular Olympics, except way more interesting. Who doesn’t want to see someone reach 150kmh head first down an iced over waterslide? What about a guy jumping over 100 meters off a ski jump? It’s like a pub dare on steroids! In other news, bad rappers are amazing, Kevin Smith is TFTF, channel 9 screws the pooch on the Olympic coverage and Bar Rafali is back with more photos from Sports Illustrated!

Unique Rappers – This is clearly a parody (I hope) but Die Antwoord vs Enya’s ‘Orinoco Ninja Flow (Wedding DJ’s Remix)‘ is pretty funny… It’s the latest in along line of emails from the guys here in the office tracking unique rappers. Heard of Bangs from Footscray? Pretty awesome. But I have to finish this with this one – set your face to cringe now – R..A..E..D. So terrible.

Kevin Smith Is Not Too Fat To Fly – The famed director was ejected from a Southwest Airlines flight on the basis that he was too big to fit into the airline seat… A claim disputed by Smith and everyone sat around him. If you’ve seen Smith talk live before, or if you follow his blogs/twitter, you know he was not going to take this well. The shit-storm that ensued was hilarious with Southwest blogging about it before Smith got an invite onto Larry King Live to talk about it at which point Southwest flipped and apologized… Sort of.

Channel 9’s Winter Olympic Coverage Gets Better – It was no surprise that the snowboarding coverage was bad but that Eddie and the team couldn’t get other basics right – like not making fun of a competitor for his sexuality – definitely raised eyebrows. C’mon Eddie, what year is this? Lets hope that the networks learn from the disaster so far and put in some people who know what they’re talking about for 2014… Or perhaps they can let me commentate the football this year? It would be an equal insult to the sport they enjoy.

And Finally – Because it seems that the world is a fan of Bar Rafali (the last post on her ranks as one of our all time most popular) I thought it was time to update with her latest Sports Illustrated shoot. Enjoy!
