Business Week released their Power 100 Athletes list this week and a few of our own made it on there. The list is compiled based on three sets of data – contest results, sponsorship earnings and consumer perception. The ranking are adjusted for the overall popularity of the sport (so called ‘niche’ sports like snowboarding and skateboarding are ranked down). In the end, Shaun White took out the 51st spot and Ryan Sheckler scraped in at 100th. This was done before the Olympics, so you would think that a re-do right now would bump SW up the list a little… Anyway, check the full rankings here.
