This week, in the news, we have multitasking on the iPhone’s 4.0 software, HP’s rad new commercials, 50 great moments in Photoshop and one Candice Swanepoel… Read on to check it out.
iPhone 4.0 Has Multitasking – According to reliable sources that spoke to Apple Insider, the new iPhone software is set to include multitasking. Until now, conserving the battery life has stopped the iPhone creators from including the ability to run apps in the background. This potentially means big changes to the software (as opposed to the small aesthetic improvements previously predicted by some) as there needs to be a simple way for users to switch between running apps. Should be interesting.
HP Get’s Dr. Dre On Board – Of all the PC companies out there, I think HP does the best job at being moderately cool. They’re no Apple (even if you’re not a fan, you have to admit that the products out of Cupertino have appeal) but they have enlisted the help of guys like Shaun White to get the message out that they’re not just about spreadsheets and TPS reports. Dr Dre is their latest recruit in a US$40 million campaign – the commercials are entertaining and are ‘hosted’ by New Zeland comedian Rhys Darby (best known for ‘Flight of the Conchords’). Check em out.
50 Great Moments in Photoshop – Complex has an awesome list of the 50 greatest moments in Photoshop. Everything from some of your favorite memes to amazing hoax’s to disasters. One of the best was the work of Bert Monroy, he created a work called ‘Damen’ which you can view here – the details on this is amazing.
And Finally – South African Victoria’s Secret Angel, Candice Swanepoel. You’re welcome – have a great week!
