The Get Up Kids To Release New EP’s

I know this isn’t for everyone, given the rap music that today’s youngsters are all listening to. But once upon a time I was 16, on a bus heading to school with a mini-disc player full of what was then called ‘emo‘ music. Well after four albums, a break up, then a reunion, The Get Up Kids have recorded new songs for the first time in 6 years. And they’re good. Like Four Minute Mile good (well, maybe not). Anyway, their site says ‘The “Simple Science” series marks the band’s first new release in six years and their first independent release since 1996’s self titled 7″. The songs were written spontaneously and recorded mostly live to 2″ tape at The Black Lodge with Ed Rose. Almost no computer technology was used.’ Well I’m excited. Excited enough to have pre-ordered the first of 3 planned all-new EP’s! If you’ve read this far, you know what to do.
