This week in the news we have 4Chan and the Time 100, Brooklyn’s Finest, the UK elections, the new LG wrist phone and the lovely Jessica Gomes… Have a great week!
4Chan & The Time 100 – Some of you might remember that 4Chan’s founder, Moot, won last years Time 100 poll… We should have guessed that there’d be some dodgy practices that caused this. It turns out that some channers hacked manipulated the poll to give Moot the win. Still, I love these internet shenanigans so I’m hanging out to see their next surprise.
Brooklyn’s Finest – This is the first I’d heard of this film, coming out on June 11th. It features Richard Gere, Ethan Hawke and Don Cheadle, and is directed by Training Day’s Antoine Fuqua. Looks rad – peep the trailer.
The UK Election is Happening – Luke Ryan over at The Vine has written a great piece about the choice being faced by Britons in the ballot boxes this week. Brown, Cameron or Clegg… It’s an open field but no matter what the outcome, the real winners will be the bookies.
LG GD910 Wrist Phone – When I was little, the idea of communicating with other people through my watch seemed awesome… Unfortunately it now just seems impracticable. However that hasn’t deterred LG who’ve got the GD910 out – I think as more of a show piece than anything. The phone is 3G enabled, comes with a 1.43 inch touch screen display, Bluetooth, MP3 playback, text-message-to-speech converter, organiser and front camera for video calls.
And Finally – The lovely Jessica Gomes. Featured in Sports Illustrated and on the Esquire site recently… I’ll let you work out why.
