Firstly let me say how stoked I am that Australia can put on a contest of this caliber. I honestly felt like I was at the Nippon Open or something crazy like that. The level of riding matched the production qualities of the event too, with every single rider in the finals stomping frontside 10’s (or getting very close). Anyway, you probably want to know who won the Sno Sho? Well you’re going to have to read on for that and a little video too.
UPDATE: A load more awesome photos taken by Dan Himbrechts from day 2 of the Sno Sho under the cut! Enjoy!
Chas Guldemon won. He landed a FS10, a BS270 on the rail, a BS3-Indy, a Backflip and a FS720 for the win. Mind you, these were all in a row and he never fell. Because of the way the Sno Sho is run, each rider has to land a trick that is selected from a wheel of fortune style wheel thing, so a lot of the time the riders don’t even have to do their best trick. Funny enough, the backflip was the hardest one for most people tonight (Marko Grilc did a double in the Jam Session though, no big deal). Dan took a stack of photos, but he is still sorting it all out so I should have them up tomorrow. Trust me, you’re going to want to see these.
