Last night I donned the Canadian Tuxedo and dusted off the old top hat for the classiest skate contest ever… Ever! That’s right it was Hammertime, but not as we all want it, you know with “fresh new kicks, and pants.” But instead the Skate, Rock and Pole. Peninsula Events put on a night that involved both skateboarding and pole dancing. What more can you say really… Is this what it’s come to? Because if it is, I’m just going to close up shop now and start commentating Curling or something. How can we go from having skateboarding as a potential Olympic event in 2012 to having awkward semi nude home-girls sliding up and down a rusty pole while skateboarders get in the way of drooling old perverts? I don’t know… Click ‘read more’ to catch some photos from the night and yo, sound the bell… schools in sucka!
PS. FYI – I got permission for all the photos. The girls felt I ‘captured the skill of the performance.’ Yeah, that’s right – captured the skill – actual quote!
Aaron Winsberry (I think).
Geoff Cook (I know)
Geoff Cook – Switch Nose to Win!
What’s everybody looking at?
Oh…
I overheard a few male members of the audience commenting on her intelligence and the good work she does for charity.
Brett is a Champion! But the ‘dancer’ felt that that big ‘ol death lens was a little too close to really capture the feeling in the performance.
This drunk guy didn’t remove his eyes from the pole all night. And while getting his creepy stare just right, he called everyone around him perverts! Classic!
