As the title suggests, Globe have sold World Industries to i.e. Distributions. This follows the sale of their streetwear labels such as Paul Frank and Mooks to Pacific Brands earlier in the year. The pre-tax profit on the sale is expected to be around AU$6 million dollars. It looks as though the Hills are having a ‘Ken Bruce’ type sale on brands. This follows the advice Globe are receiving on restructuring from the L.A. based Sage Group. From reading the interweb, Sage may be “Driving a process that transforms ideas into success” or they maybe a herb, once prized for their medicinal value. You decide. Anyway, it looks as though Globe are slimming down and returning to their core as a company which can only be a good thing.
