The Rob Blog: Photos From Chile

I just got back form the K2 trip in Chile. We had internet for about ten minutes over the whole trip so now I’m going to try and remember everything we did. Started off flying into Santiago and heading up to this super cool old lodge, an hour outside of the city centre. We spent two days shredding the local mini park because they were struggling for snow. Then because of the snow struggles, we left on a seven hour drive south to find the powder. We arrived at 2am at this lodge with no hot water and only a tiny wood fireplace. We struggled to get the fire going then hoped into bed.

The next morning we woke up at 7am shivering, the door had blown open during the night, blown the fire out and cooled the room to about zero degrees, it was so cold I had to get dressed in bed. We spent the next two days shredding the resort in the rain, waiting for the temp to drop low enough to start snowing. After a couple of days getting a few cool shots it starting dumping, we were all so stoked. We also moved into a new cabin which was one of the coolest places I’ve ever stayed at. I can’t remember what the cabin was called but in english it meant ‘wellness’. We got up the hill really early the final two days and had an amazing time shredding powder.

Overall I had such a fun trip and it was so cool to hang out with all the K2 Team again. Thanks Kevin and all the Team for making it such a fun trip!
