Hotham management have announced that they will be installing snow making along Heavenly Valley. They are spending $3 million and installing 26 hydrant points and snow cannons along Imagine, Milky Way and Snake Gully. This is in addition to the $9 million they have spent on water recycling projects over the last two years. All in all the mountains have put in a fairly impressive season this year. Rest assured we are not paid by the mountains, we refused the offer of free passes and accomodation so we have no vested interest in saying this – but I think congratulations are in order as they actually put in a pretty sterling effort. I know they can’t take credit for the good snowfall but with good parks at all the mountains and some serious investment in infrastructure things are looking good. Drop us a message under the cut with suggestions for the mountains for next year and I’ll forward them onto the relevant marketing people.
