Check below the cut for the full release.

OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE – Podium Distribution brands DVS and Matix recently helped fund snowboard photographer Rob Mathis’ newly released hardcover book entitled, SLIDE. Documenting more than a decade of snowboarding, the book is a dramatic photo-journal that salutes the names that helped make modern snowboarding what it is today. There are photos dating back to 1993 of riders like Brian Thien, Gabe Crane, Cody Dresser, and even TransWorld SNOWboarding’s senior photographer Andy Wright. Mathis also pays homage to the Forum 8 at its height with timeless photos of people like Peter Line and his backside rodeo 720s, JP Walker’s flawless back lips, and Jeremy Jones’ Mctwist 900.

DVS and Matix Snow Team Manager Ricky Melnik says he’s proud to have DVS and Matix endorse Mathis’ latest project. “Every snowboarder needs a copy of SLIDE for their coffee table,” says Melnik. “Whether you lived through this era or are just seeing these photos for the first time, Mathis captures the true progression of our sport. There are no all over prints, no bandannas, no head phones, just 100 % raw snowboarding.”
