AST (Action Sports Tour) has just announced their move into winter sports. Mt Dew will be sponsoring the tour so it will come under the AST Dew Tour umbrella. The event will include both snowboarding and free skiing. They will begin events in December 2008 and are looking for three mountain locations in the U.S. The whole thing will be covered by NBC who currently covers the summer Dew Tour. Supposedly the summer Dew Tour is the highest rating ‘action sports‘ event… Well, kudos to them for not using the word ‘extreme,’ but I still feel it still plays it off as being a little wacky. Anyway, the locations and more details will be announced early in 2008.
