Just got a quick update from Adam at Perisher on the park conditions. The Slopestyle and Leichardt parks are still running, Blue Cow and Piper are done for the season, the superpipe is still going and there’s a tonne more happening up there. Peep the details below.
###
Going into the last week of the season we’re still grooming Slopestyle and Leichardt parks as before. Blue Cow and Piper parks are closed for the season but we have built another beginner park off of the Mid Station of the Perisher Express quad chair right next to the Rider cross course. The Superpipe is also still up and going. The jib lines have been rebuilt to make for easier grooming in the Spring conditions but the quad jump lines in both the Slopestyle and Leichardt parks are the same as they were since mid season. We now have 10 jumps ranging in size from 10 feet to 60 + feet as well as 17 jibs set out over our four park areas. The Slopestyle jib line starts with a 6m x 3m Up/ Flat Combo box, into our 11m Flat / Down rail, then an 8m flat rail, followed by a 9m Donkey Down rail, then an 8m mellow Down rail and finishing with the 26m Big Dipper rail and 18m “S” box below the last jump. The Leichardt line starts with an 8m Urban Down box, into a 6m flat box, followed by a Pyramid bonk bin, then an 8m Down Ledge box and finishing with a 5m Round Bar Down rail. Our new beginner park at Yabby starts with a 3m Dance Floor box, followed by a 5m flat rail into a 3m flat box or a 3m Down box and finishing with a 5m Turtle box. There’s still plenty of snow in the park areas and we plan on keeping everything going right up to the end of season.
