At 11am today – that’s right, 11am Sunday morning – I attended the St. Kilda Skate Park Rally. Unfortunately the crowd was a little thin (I have a hunch that this had to do with the fact that it was 11AM ON A SUNDAY MORNING) but the people that attended listened to valid, reasoned, sensible arguments as to why the opposition’s objections to the park are unjustified. There were several magazine people there as well as local government representatives and pro skaters, like Renton Millar, who has spearheaded the push for the park to happen. Good work to everyone that made it down there this morning. We’ll have more information soon on the happenings with this park, in the mean time head over here to check out the plans.
