You might remember that back in 2009 Shaun White was touring events showing off a set of new tricks in the lead up to the Vancouver Olympics. One of those events was the NZ Winter Games where we all caught the double cork 10 for one of the first times… Some theorized that he was bringing these out in the lead up just so the judges would know how to score the trick. Well, it’s confirmed that in the lead up to the 2014 Sochi games, White will be back at the NZ Games and taking on some top talent. While he’s not hinting at any more revolutionary (see what I did there?) tricks, he might have something up his sleeve. The Games are on from the 15th to the 25th August if you want to get along.
