I just got emailed some footage and photos from Analog’s ‘Show Us Your Ghouls’ contest which was held last Friday night. Best line went to Chima Ferguson while New Zealander, Bjorn Johnson, took out best trick. Check below the cut for the release and a few photos and peep the above footage for a full wrap of the contest.
The first Analog ‘Show Us Your Ghouls’ Halloween Jam was held last Friday the 31st of October at Waterloo Skate Park in Sydney. The evening went off with a bang beginning with a“best line” competition which saw some amazing skateboarding from Sam Winter, Bjorn Johnston and home town hero/crowd pleaser, Chima Ferguson who ended his line with a big spin heel flip board slide down the three rail, earning him the first place prize of 400 big ones!
After some wild antics from the crowd including the consumption of white wine through a didgeridoo the event moved into the “Best trick” section where Waterloo’s six stair hubba ledge became the focus of the night. With the crowd closed in it was everyman for himself! But the man who stole everyone’s praise was New Zealand sensation Bjorn Johnson. Bjorn nailed a perfect kick flip tailslide to fakie third try down the hubba successfully increasing his bank account by another $400.
The best dressed prize was awarded to park local ‘Waterloo Scott’ who decided to get in touch with his roots wearing traditional Aboriginal attire complete with body paint and didgeridoo. Scott walked away with $500 worth of Analog clothing, a fancy pair of Anon sunnies, an Alien Workshop board, some Emerica shoes and pats on the back from everyone involved.
Big thanks to Red Dawg for the BBQ, Tona for his always entertaining MC skills, Analog, Anon, Alien Workshop, Emerica shoes and South Sydney youth services.
