The Sochi Slopestyle qualifications went down last night in what looked like some pretty great conditions. Staale Sandbech came out on top with a 94.5 run which included cab hardway 270, switch board 270, front board 540, cab 12, front 10, back 14. Peetu came in close behind managing a 90.75. You can check all the runs on an awesome layout OVER AT TRANSWORLD – seriously good way to map these. Australian Scotty James took a hard slam on his first run, still went for the second but unfortunately failed to qualify in this round and will need to go to the semis to try again.
In the womens, Torah Bright took out the second top score with a 85.25 just behind Isabel Derungs on 87.50. She has got herself a spot in the finals. You can check the full rankings below.
