The Quiksilver Eddie Aikau memorial big wave event for 2008 is now “underway” having kicked off on the first day of December. The reason underway is in quotation marks is because nothing has actually happened yet. See for a big wave event you need big waves, and without them there is no event, get it? There is a holding period until the 28th of Feb for a solid day of 20ft plus waves.
