Last night, if you weren’t at the Melbourne premieres for The Darjeeling Limited, 2 Days In Paris or at the opening night of Daft Punk, chances are you were at the Fully Flared premiere that POP and Lakai put on in Gourlay’s studio off Greville Street. We counted over 200 come through the doors and judging by the shouts and screams during the insane intro to the film, I don’t doubt it. I was working behind our little make-shift bar with Dave and we ran out of beer right on 8 o’clock just as the film started rolling. Perfect. What wasn’t perfect was the over-heating of the the DVD player that caused a frantic search for a fan. Thankfully the 30 second interlude gave people a chance to get some fresh air. The film does go for 120 odd minutes after-all. Thanks so much to everyone for coming down and Lakai for letting us do it. Thanks must also go to Fosters (for the Corona, Pure Blond and Carlton Draft), Activision (for the free Tony Hawk Proving Ground giveaways) and Red Bull for all the free stuff. And for all the photos below the cut, thanks to CS!
