Seems summertime in the US is all about Nike. It’s already started, the Lowers Pro last week signals the start of summer – which was sponsored by Nike 6.0. Then there’s the Motel No Tell, a crazy little project where they rent out an entire motel in San Clemente. After that it’s their investment in Hurley that reaps them some rewards with the US Open of Surfing, then rounding out the summer with another event at Lowers – The Hurley Pro.
Back to the campaign though, I saw some banner ads on the Lowers webcast, one of which look like an ad for the movie 300, with Bourez standing tall with a light shining on him. It definitely looks interesting that’s for sure – everything across three sports has been filmed at night with some spots getting locked down exclusively for the athletes (the skaters getting a police escort!) I’m excited to see it when it comes out on June 2nd, head over to EmpireAve for more and check out one of the teasers below.
