As reported in the shoutbox, the latest addition to the Australian GNU team, Benny Mates, has placed 2nd at the World Cup in Japan. Although big Tone at Sidelife would love to claim this victory for Magne Traction, I’m afraid we have to give the credit and congrats to Benny Mates. Ben nailed his final run which included a front 9 followed by a back 5 then into back-to-back 7’s. Ben held 1st with that run until the final rider, Japanese rider Ryoh Aono dropped to take the victory. Still, great job Benny.
