Jerry Hsu is a funny guy. He’s also a professional skater and photographer. Combine those three elements and you get Nazigold – his private photo blog. A chance to see the ‘real America’ through the bloodshot eyes of a man who thinks skate comps need “more weapons.”
The constant traveling associated with pro skating gives Hsu plenty of opportunity to get his camera out. Which isn’t the only thing he gets out (we joke, we joke!). But seriously, if his photo blog is any indication, the typical Jerry Hsu tour involves a whole lot of violence, heavy irony, binge drinking and cute girls. Which sounds about right…
Thing is, every dude with a skateboard and a camera thinks they’re the next [insert relevant photographer here], but Hsu actually has the talent to back up his shit talking. His work has been exhibited in galleries around the world including New York, London, Berlin, Milan, Tokyo and Stockholm. It’s also been featured in a bunch of magazines.
Meanwhile the sponsorships (and money) keep rolling in. Deals with Emerica, Enjoi skateboards, Monster Energy Drink, Royal trucks and a million others mean Hsu can continue to photograph whatever the hell he wants for Nazigold.
