Things happen and we hear about ’em so fast that it’s hard to keep up with it all. Blink and you’ve missed a thousand clips; all worth your attention.
Last month (or was it the month before?) we witnessed what was, frankly, one of the most insane days of surfing ever. Even though most of us will never get anywhere near Tahiti (and even less of us would want anything to do with a wave like Teahupoo) we witnessed it in real time thanks to the wonders of the internet.
And then the swell dropped and Kelly won a contest, then the pro tour went to the USA, and there was a contest in New York, and …
… and then you see a clip like this and your mind is blown all over again. This is worth a few minutes of your time purely for how raw it is. No soundtrack other than the screams of those in the boats on the shoulder, and the roar of the waves. It really was something else.
