You might have noticed AndyT post a link to this in the shout box. Well it seems Shaun White has done something that’s sure to anger a few more people in the skate community. Now I like money as much as the next guy and I also believe Shaun White has done amazing things for the coverage of snowboarding. However this week saw the launch of the Shaun White Supply Co. which in itself is not all that newsworthy. When you take a look at the full range of products you may wonder what was this guy thinking? A line of Skateboards, skateramps, rails… Oh and BMX bikes and scooters. I can kind of understand the BMX bikes, like we all probably had one as a kid and The Birdman has his own line as well. But I guess having millions of dollars you can build your own parks so you don’t realize how much a pain in the ass scooters have become. Or maybe its a ploy and we should be encouraging more skate companies to branch out into this. Look how well controlling snowboarding is doing for skiing. Interesting to note in the lack of mention of the scooters in a few media releases online so far. Which leaves you wondering if Mr. White is ashamed of his new babies?
