Back in July last year I mentioned that Australia had qualified to bid for an X Games… Well, screw you Australia cause you ain’t getting one. The short list of countries that are in the running has been released and they are Barcelona, Spain; Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil; Lisbon, Portugal; Munich, Germany; Quintana Roo, Mexico; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Santiago, Chile; Sao Paulo, Brazil; Whistler, Canada. The three cities getting a games will be announced Tuesday (US time). Last I heard, it had not been decided whether Australia would actually put in a bid so I don’t know what led to us missing out but I’m bummed we didn’t get there.
