Here’s a neat clip from the Absinthe crew basically talking about how good Travis Rice is. There’s a lot of flattery going on in here mixed with a tonne of rad old footage. However the interesting moment comes at 3:03mins when photographer Scott Sullivan says, “I’m so happy that Travis has become the face of snowboarding in the public eye over Shaun White, because Travis is a real snowboarder.”

That statement is obviously hugely debatable. Rice is definitely well known but no where near the level of White… You can run a billboard in Times Square with just White’s sillhouette and people know who it is, I doubt you can say the same for Rice. But more interesting is why Sullivan (and Absinthe as they included the quote in the clip) has that much beef with White?
