If you happen to be on the Gold Coast on Australia day, get down to Kirra Point and join Mick Fanning, Steph Gilmore, and Joel Parkinson in a paddle out to protest the sand pumping operation that has all but destroyed the point. Not only the classic wave, but a nearby marine reef and a bunch of tourism has been lost as a result of the sand pumping.
