Street League Barcelona went down over the weekend and I’d call a spoiler alert except the result was, as expected, a win from Nyjah. It came down to the last trick of the day with Huston needing an 8.5 point trick to take the win from P-Rod. After a faltering start he locked in the in by 0.1 point with a huge hardflip off the bump over the hubba.
There was a little controversy over some scoring with Rodriguez scoring an 8.4 for a switch backside tailslide, and Nyjah only getting 7.7 for the same trick. Will wait to see what the explanation is on that one.
Check Nyjah’s final run below. Kansas City on June 9th is the next stop – Sean Malto’s home town… Will it make a difference? The answer is likely no unless they introduce some sort of handicap on Huston’s runs. Live tigers on the course for his runs maybe?
