According to Transworld, the 2009 Vans Cup has been canceled. Although there is no reason given for the cancellation, it is being assumed that is just the latest in a long line of big events to have their funding/sponsorship cut due to the global economic crisis. The event was “scheduled for Mammoth and was also slated to be the culmination of the Vans Mini Cup series.” Here’s hoping we see it return in 2010.
