SXSW was happening last week in Austin, Texas. Converse and Thrasher were holding a bit of a party being headlined by OFWGKTA associate, Tyler the Creator. Not everyone was going to make it into the venue and when Tyler hit the stage, it was at capacity with a large crowd out front trying to get in.
Tyler got a chant going to get the gates pushed down and sure enough, they did and all of a sudden, the venue was at a reported three times capacity… The venue responded with cutting sound from the stage but wisely reversed that decision before an all out riot started. Unfortunately, Tyler has been arrested and is facing a Class A Misdemeanor of inciting a riot. See the arrest in the shot here…

In his mug shot (below) you can clearly see he has a Thrasher tee on which I’m sure the crew over there are stoked on – pretty much the greatest publicity they could hope for. Ans if you’d like to check out part of his set, hit this Revolt clip. Looks like it was a lot of fun.
