This weekend (May 17th and 18th, 2014) the first Street League Pro Open goes down in L.A. It’s a two day event where a second tier list of riders will compete for three spots on the tour. Then on day two, all will compete for a wild card entry to the finals in New Jersey. The day one list of those second tier riders is pretty damn heavy – guys like Felipe Gustavo, Evan Smith and Riley Hawk are in there. It should be an impressive display.

The addition of the second day and the competition for the wild card seems odd… An unnecessary complication to an otherwise rad idea.
