Kelly Slater has confirmed that he will represent a host of Kering Group brands as part of their support for his label, Outerknown. He made the announcement on Instagram and said that the deal includes, “… Volcom, Electric, Cobra/Puma Golf, and even Brioni, Balenciaga, Tretorn, Stella McCartney and others …”
He qualified the support for the group brands by saying, “We quickly came to an agreement of mutual support. They’re helping Outerknown in any way necessary and I’ve become a Brand Ambassador for any and all of their brands that make sense for both of us.”
The golf hookup is a really interesting one – there was always the rumour that Quiksilver had a brand worked up and ready to go should Slater ever want to take a shot at the tour. Apparently it’s another thing he’s damn good at.
