In the News

Just a few more interesting articles about surfing, skating, snowboarding and other entertaining subjects that made the news during the previous week.

Complex and Haviana Conduct Model Search. Haviana is conducting some kind of model search in conjunction with Complex magazine – I’m not entirely sure what a thong company needs a hot model for but I’m going to study the website until I figure it out damnit!

Bloomberg Joins the Guessing Game. Bloomberg have gotten into the ‘what’s happening at Quik’ guessing game with an article on the acquisition power at VF Corp and Nike. Thanks to TWBiz for the tip!

Bakoda Snowboard Multi-Tool. Bakoda have released a handy little snowboard tool which includes a snowboarding multi-tool with screwdriver and wrench, as well as a tape measure, bottle opener and tobacco pipe. I do not know anyone who has ever used one of these built in pipes – the idea was funny at first, you know… in ’89, but I think people are over it by now.

Bondi Shark Attack. Doesn’t matter if you’re a Navy diver or a surfer – sharks proved to be superior this week with two attacks in Sydney. The attack at Bondi Beach is only the second attack there in 80 years – so dispite what the media might be saying, your chances of survival are atill pretty good out there.
